Our clones are derived from the Mammalian Gene Collection (MGC) from the NIH, with a proven sequence accuracy of less than 1 error in 50,000 base pairs. Each clone is guaranteed to match the published sequence. There is a small possibility of mistaken identification, incorrect DNA sequence, or incorrect annotation. Researchers are advised to perform end-sequencing of their purchased MGC clone and BLAST the results against the published GenBank sequence. This can also be accomplished through Skyang’s sequence verification service. If there is any problem with the clone, we will replace with an alternate clone when available or provide a refund.
For added confidence, we offer an optional end-sequencing verification service to confirm clone identity before shipping, ensuring accurate and risk-free results.

Skyang Bio’s (Formerly Transomic Technologies) SkyElite™ cDNA and ORF arrayed libraries are genome-scale collections developed using the most rigorous sequencing process ensuring the highest quality and confidence. However, you should expect to see some minor rates of error. This is inherent with any large-scale resource created by multiple labs using multiple strategies and pipelines for cloning, arraying, sequencing, and analyses. It is always best to practice clonal isolation and sequence verification for each clone prior to use. Due to the nature of arrayed format, even when best practices are followed, there is the possibility of mixed populations in wells.
